- Each group member takes a week- 5 day lunch menu
- Make sure to include all the food groups in every lunch
- That it is the recommended calories and nutrients for your specific age group
- Follow the dietary guidelines for Americans or the food pyramid.
- For everyday have the following information for each lunch meal
- Calories
- Total fat –break down the fats
- Protein
- Sodium
- Vitamin A
- Vitamin C

- Menus must include a main dish, at least one side dish and a beverage
- Make sure to have a variety of food choices within your individual week long lunch menus
- Make sure the menu is something that students will buy but still get the nutrients that are need to have a healthy and complete meal.
- When you are finish with your week menu write up a paragraph on how the changes you made to the school lunch menu will benefit the students and the school
- When everyone is done with their week menu put it all together in a calendar format so that it looks like a real school lunch menu for a month
